BLOG 3-What can be done to Prevent Obesity?
There is always talk about obesity but when are people going to start to take action? Since Obesity rates keep going up in America year after year, the best solution is to actually find solutions to keep those rates down. The best seven tips in doing just that is, stay active, eating healthy, watch your weight, drink water, get a physical at least once a year, keep junk food out of your house, and to only eat when you are hungry.
Yes, these tips are harsh but they are true. The only way to prevent obesity is to have an active lifestyle. It is pretty simple, for example, going to a store and taking the stairs, not an escalator. But then it can lead into something very good, which is working out, or going to a gym. When people should eat healthy, it means eating healthy. An average person should consume 2,000 calories per day in food with dairy, meats, breads, fruits, vegetables, and legumes. Keeping track of the calories can help keep off those extra pounds.
A very good substitute for those hundreds of drinks out there is water. It is recommended to drink up to 10 glasses of water per day. It is also recommended to get a physical once a year. In doing that, it helps prevent health complications, including diabetes. Keeping junk food out of the house it too hard, but having 2 cookies is a better choice than having 10 cookies. Speaking of, you should only eat when you’re hungry. Those who are naturally thin only eat when they are hungry.
In conclusion, following the seven steps including, stay active, eating healthy, watch your weight, drink water, get a physical at least once a year, keep junk food out of your house, and to only eat when you are hungry, can be a great way in dealing with obesity or preventing it. These steps are to guide you, not haunt you. So if you really believe in being healthy, it is up to you.
